This “hugs and kisses” planter is hand built from porcelain. First, the slab is rolled out, then printed with a newsprint transfer to provide the grid for the stamping, then each X & O are hand stamped one by one. After the bisque firing, each square is filled with different celadon glazes in the ROY G BIV colorway, and then fired for a second time in the glaze firing. Each planter has a dime size drain hole, and a water catch plate. Additionally, the bottoms of both the planter and the drain plate have been sanded smooth to avoid any scratching of surfaces.
Approx measurements: 3 inches tall with drain plate, and 4 1/2 inches wide at opening
