This hearts mug is hand built from porcelain. First, the slab is rolled out, then printed with a newsprint transfer to provide the grid for the stamping, then each heart is hand stamped one by one. After the bisque firing, each square is filled with a snowy white celadon glaze, and red is applied to each raised heart and the handle before firing for a second time in the glaze firing. Additionally, the bottom of the vase has been sanded smooth to avoid any scratching of surfaces.
