This heart planter is hand built from porcelain. First, the slab is rolled out, then printed with a newsprint transfer to provide the grid for the stamping, then each heart is hand stamped one by one. After the bisque firing, each square is filled with a snowy white celadon glaze, and red is applied to each raised heart before firing for a second time in the glaze firing. Each planter has a dime size drain hole, and a water catch plate. The catch plates have hearts applied to the exterior that are painted red as well. Additionally, the bottoms of both the planter and the drain plate have been sanded smooth to avoid any scratching of surfaces.
Approx measurements: 4 1/4 inches tall with drain plate, and 4 inches wide at opening
