Medium Prism mug—holds approx 12 oz
Each Prism mug is slab built from colored porcelain that I mix in small batches in my studio. I then create layers of pattern, texture, and color—utilizing newsprint transfers, a custom stamp I created to use with the grid pattern, and both velvet underglaze and other glazes. The interior and handle of each mug are glazed in a complimentary color to the rest of the pieces color scheme.
The bottom of each piece is sanded to a buttery smooth texture that invites you to touch, and the surface of each piece is sprayed with Liquid Quartz to seal the surface.
