This hearts mug is hand built from porcelain. First, the slab is rolled out, then printed with a newsprint transfer to provide the grid for the stamping, then each heart is hand stamped one by one. After the bisque firing, each square is filled with different celadon glazes in the ROY G BIV colorway, and then fired for a second time in the glaze firing. Additionally, the bottom of the mug is sanded smooth to avoid any scratching of surfaces.
