I created the “ICE OUT” mug the week after Renee Good was murdered, as a non-sweary alternative to the “F-ICE” mug.  I know not everyone is okay with profanity—so here is you’re cleaned up alternative, but with the same Anti-ICE message  

I was feeling so much rage—not only about the killing itself, but the way the Trump administration immediately blamed her for her own murder. Spinning a disturbing narrative based on lies, instead of holding the ICE thug responsible for her murder accountable for his actions.

I could not have imagined that, little more than 2 weeks later, we would see another American citizen murdered in the streets of Minneapolis. My heart broke open! How can this be happening?! Seeing with my own eyes a man mobbed and executed in the street when he was just trying to protect others, and document the actions of the agents—and then again hearing the Trump administration blaming it on him, calling him a “domestic terrorist”.

There really are no words . . .

If you’ve been here for while, you know profanity on a mug is not my usual design motif. Yet, how can I express the heartbreak, rage, sadness, and disgust that current events are making me feel—FUCK ICE doesn’t even begin to touch the feelings that weigh heavy on me, and I believe our nation, every day. To me the actions of the ICE and Border Patrol agents that have invaded the Twin Cities display a brutality and disregard for humanity that I just cannot remain silent for . . .

MUG DETAILS:

This mug has been hand built from translucent porcelain. The slab is first rolled out, printed with a newsprint transfer, and hand stamped, before being shaped into the mug form. After the first (bisque) firing, each square is filled with an icy blue celadon glaze, and then fired for a second time. To add that extra iridescent quality, the piece is then painted with mother-of-pearl luster, then fired for a third and final time.

Mug holds approximately 12 oz of your favorite beverage.
