This “hugs and kisses” vase is hand built from red colored porcelain that I hand mix in small batches in my studio. First, the slab is rolled out, then printed with a newsprint transfer to provide the grid for the stamping, then each X & O are hand stamped one by one. After the bisque firing, each square is filled with different celadon glazes in the ROY G BIV colorway, and then fired for a second time in the glaze firing. Additionally, the bottom of the vase is sanded smooth to avoid any scratching of surfaces.
Approx measurements: 5 1/4 inches tall, and 3 1/4 inches wide at opening
