This hearts vase is hand built from red colored porcelain that I hand mix in small batches in my studio. First, the slab is rolled out, then printed with a newsprint transfer to provide the grid for the stamping, then each heart is hand stamped one by one. After the bisque firing, each square is filled with different celadon glazes in the ROY G BIV colorway, and then fired for a second time in the glaze firing. Additionally, the bottom of the vase has been sanded smooth to avoid any scratching of surfaces.
Approx measurements: 5 1/4 inches tall, and 3 1/4 inches wide at opening
