Each Daisyware “statement” mug is slab built from translucent porcelain. I stamp the surface of each slab with various sizes of daisy stamps (and in this case, the statement, “Peace, Love, and Fuck the Patriarchy”) with the intention of filling the flowers with different colors of glaze once bisque fired. To create the desired effect, I flood each daisy with a variety of rainbow colored celadon glazes. The interior and handle of each mug are finished in a contrasting color. I love the endless possibilities of color combos!
The bottom of each mug is sanded to a buttery smooth texture that you will most definitely want to touch.
